Report Poaching, Pollution, Spills and Dumping
Industrial pollution and dumping of household waste can be devastating to fish and wildlife habitat. Local residents are the eyes and ears of Alameda Creek. Please report dumping or other pollution problems as follows:
* For dumping or a spill in progress, call 911 or 1-888-DFG-CALTIP (1-888-334-2258)
* If the problem is not immediate, for cleanup and to report ongoing problems contact the Alameda Countywide Clean Water Program at (510) 670-5563
* For illegal fishing, poaching, or violations of state wildlife laws contact 1-888-DFG-CALTIP or the Fish and Wildlife Warden Dispatch at (707) 944-5512. CalTip now has a phone app to report poching.
* If work in a streambed seems likely to cause erosion or harm wildlife, or if you suspect such work is being done without a state Department of Fish and Wildlife permit, call (916) 445-0045
* For air pollution incidents call the Bay Area Air Quality Management District at 1-800-334-6367
