Next ACA meeting - your chance to volunteer

The next Alameda Creek Alliance meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 30, from 7-9 pm, in the Cafeteria at the Sunol Glen School, in Sunol. Directions to the Sunol Glen School can be found at www.alamedacreek.org/Next_Meeting/meetings.html

This meeting will be your opportunity to volunteer with the Alameda Creek Alliance, through our newly forming volunteer committees. Please come to the meeting prepared to join one of our five exciting committees:

Conservation Committee (organize letter writing and membership involvement in conservation issues)

Creek Keepers Committee (organize creek cleanups, volunteers for fish surveys, stream monitoring, and adopting a creek section)

Fundraising Committee (special benefit events, t-shirts sales, grant writing)

Outreach and Education Committee (ACA display table at festivals and other events, present ACA slide show to community groups and schools, educational materials and flyers, organize creek tours and ACA educational outings)

Steelhead Festival Committee (organize and promote annual festival, recruit volunteers, assist with ACA display and t-shirt sales)
