Alameda Creek Alliance Board Members

Derrell Bridgman is a Board Member and Conservation Chair of the Livermore FlyFishers - he established and runs their successful "Trout in the Classroom" program. Derrell is also a Board Member of the Northern California Council of the Federation of Fly Fishers and is active in their Conservation Network and Steelhead Committee.

Rich Cimino is a 25 year resident of Pleasanton. Rich has been an active member with the Alameda Creek Alliance, the Audubon Society and Preserve Area Ridgelands Committee. Rich recently helped initiate the Friends of Springtown Preserve in Livermore. He is also an avid birder and has worked with the Sequoia National Forest doing Spotted Owl nesting surveys.

Brendan Cummings is a staff attorney with the Center for Biological Diversity and the Director of the Center's Oceans Program. Brendan has worked on protection of endangered Bay Area species since 1998, including listing, critical habitat, and protective regulations for Alameda Creek watershed species such as steelhead trout, Alameda whipsnake, California red-legged frog, and California tiger salamander.

Larry Dennis is a Board Member and Conservation Chair of the Mission Peak Fly Anglers. In 1998 he helped to found an animal rescue group and acted as its treasurer for two years. Larry has been retired since 1996 and an active ACA volunteer since 1997.

Jeff Miller is the founder of the Alameda Creek Alliance and has served as Executive Director since 1997. Jeff also works full time with the Center for Biological Diversity on media, outreach, writing endangered species listing petitions, and working on biodiversity issues and endangered species protection throughout California.

Peggy Olofson worked as a Water Resource Control Engineer for the S.F. Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board from 1992-2002, and was the Board's Watershed Manager for the Alameda Creek watershed. Peggy now owns and manages Olofson Environmental, Inc., and is Director of the S. F. Estuary Invasive Spartina Project.

Scott Taylor has been an active ACA member and volunteer since 1999. Scott hopes to further the work of the ACA in protecting the watershed and returning steelhead and salmon to the creek by serving as Secretary of the Board.
